About RouteRangers
Integration consultants who know Camel from the inside.
RouteRangers is a US consultancy that does one thing: enterprise integration on Apache Camel. Architecture reviews, new builds, ESB exits, upgrades, and production support — all of it on the framework we know best, for teams whose systems have to talk to each other reliably.
Why a Camel specialist
Integration is a field with a real body of knowledge — the enterprise integration patterns, delivery semantics, error-channel design — and Camel is that body of knowledge shipped as software. Generalist teams treat it as another library and rediscover the hard lessons route by route. We work in it daily, across the whole deployment spectrum: classic Spring Boot services, standalone JVMs, Quarkus, and Camel K on Kubernetes.
That focus is also a filter. If your problem is not an integration problem — or Camel is the wrong tool for it — we are the wrong firm, and we will say so in the first conversation.
Who we work with
Engineering leads at mid-size enterprises — logistics, finance, healthcare, retail — who run Camel in production, inherited an estate they need mastered, or are replacing a commercial ESB with open source. Some engagements are two-week reviews; some are multi-quarter migrations; many start as the first and become the second.
What we believe about the work
- Integration code is production code: tested, versioned, observable, documented.
- The unhappy path is the design; any framework can move a message when everything is up.
- Cutovers should be boring. Excitement in a cutover is a planning failure.
- Your team should understand everything we build — dependence on your consultants is a bug, not a business model.
